چکیده

The design of a 10 cm2 (3.4 cm by 3.4 cm) and 100 (10 anion exchange membrane (AEM) water electrolyser cell for hydrogen production are described. AEM cells based on zero-gap configuration where the is sandwiched between anode cathode so as to minimise voltage drop electrodes. Nonprecious nickel-based metal alloy oxide catalysts were employed. Various experiments carried out understand effects operating parameters such current densities, electrolyte concentrations, testing regimes performance both cells. Increasing concentration was seen result in reductions overpotentials which proportional applied, whilst use improved consistently over range densities tested. Extended galvanostatic intermittent tests demonstrated cells, with higher efficiencies achieved electrocatalysts. Stability assembled catalyst-coated electrodes that voltages remained stable at 2.03 V 2.17 during 72 h operation 4 M KOH 1 electrolyte, respectively, density 0.3 A cm−2 323 K. inclusion cycling load protocols emphasized rational evaluation this observed speed up rate degradation mechanisms degradation.

Prospects for Alkaline Zero Gap Electrolyte Water Electrolysers for Hydrogen Production

This review makes the case for cheaper and more efficient water electrolysis technology. In particular, the potential advantages of zero gap, alkaline water electrolysers based on hydroxide ion conducting membranes are highlighted. Following a brief introduction into the thermodynamics and kinetics of water electrolysis, recent developments in oxygen evolving anodes, hydrogen evolving cathodes ...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

A Scale-up Design Procedure for Rotating Biological Contactors

A scale-up design procedure, based on a new physical mass transfer (PMT) model, whichdescribes the performance, for aerobic rotating biological contactors (RBC’s) is developed. This scale-up procedure can be used to determine the disc surface area needed to prevent an oxygen limitation or to obtain a specific degree of treatment. In contrast to the empirical, and most previous RBC performance m...
